Pest Control Cost Calculator
Pest control pricing depends on what you're dealing with and how you buy it. Recurring general pest plans are priced per visit or per month, while rats, bed bugs and stinging-insect nests are quoted as jobs. Pick the pest, the kind of plan, your home size and how bad it is, and the calculator shows the published range that fits, with each line explained.
Ranges come from Angi's Atlanta cost data and national publishers such as Fixr and Today's Homeowner. Where there's no Atlanta or Georgia figure, the line says "national range". Your home size and the severity only move you within a published range; they never push the estimate outside it.
Worked example
A 2,000 sq ft Atlanta home with occasional ants

- Ants
- Plan:
- Quarterly
- Home size:
- 1,500–2,500 sq ft
- Severity:
- Light

How this works
Each pest and plan maps to one published range: initial visit $140–$300, one-time visit $150–$500, quarterly service $90–$300 per visit or $300–$900 a year, monthly service $40–$75, rodent trapping $450–$1,140 in Atlanta (national $150–$650), bed bug heat $1–$3 per square foot or chemical $200–$775 per room, mosquito barrier treatment $70–$165 per visit or $350–$1,200 a season, and $300–$700 per stinging-insect nest. Every one of those ranges is backed by at least two publishers (Angi, Fixr, HomeGuide or Today's Homeowner). Bed bugs, mosquitoes and rodent inspection and exclusion have no Atlanta or Georgia publisher figure, so those lines say "national range".
Home size and severity are planning assumptions, not published price factors. They slide a window that covers half of the published range from the bottom (small home, light activity) to the top (very large home, heavy activity); size and severity each count for half of that movement. For nests and bed bug chemical treatment, only severity moves the window. Whole-home bed bug heat uses a representative square footage for your size band (1,200, 2,000, 3,200 or 4,500 sq ft) times the published $1–$3 rate. No result ever leaves the published range.
These are planning ranges, not quotes. Atlanta Pest Guide is an independent guide and referral service published by Cornelia Cove LLC; we don't treat homes. Licensing notes follow the Georgia Department of Agriculture's categories: household pests, rodents, bed bugs and stinging insects fall under the Household Pest Control license, while mosquito yard spraying is a separate pesticide applicator category. Ranges were checked in September 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does pest control cost in Atlanta?
Published ranges put a quarterly plan at about $90–$300 per visit, or $300–$900 a year, with an initial visit of $140–$300 to start. Monthly service runs about $40–$75 a month, and a one-time visit about $150–$500 depending on the pest and how bad it is.
Is quarterly or monthly pest control better value?
For most homes with routine pests, quarterly service costs less over a year ($300–$900 versus about $480–$900 for twelve monthly visits). Some companies recommend monthly service for heavy or persistent problems such as cockroaches; ask why if a quote does. Either way, ask what each visit includes before you compare prices.
How much does a rat exterminator cost in Atlanta?
Angi's Atlanta data puts a rodent trapping program at about $450–$1,140, well above the national $150–$650. Sealing entry points (exclusion) is often extra, about $200–$1,500 nationally depending on how many openings there are. A rodent inspection runs about $75–$200 nationally.
How much does bed bug treatment cost?
Nationally, chemical treatment runs about $200–$775 per room, single-room heat about $100–$500, and whole-home heat about $1–$3 per square foot. That puts a 2,000 sq ft home at roughly $2,000–$6,000 for heat. There's no Atlanta-specific publisher figure for bed bugs.
How much does mosquito spraying cost?
Nationally, a mosquito barrier treatment runs about $70–$165 per visit, and a season program about $350–$1,200. In Georgia, mosquito yard spraying needs a commercial pesticide applicator license in Category 41 (Commercial Mosquito Control), not the structural pest license.
How much does wasp or yellowjacket nest removal cost?
Most nest removals run about $300–$700 per nest. Small, easy nests can be about $100, and large or hard-to-reach nests up to about $1,300. One publisher lists yellowjacket nests separately at a higher $600–$1,200.
